About the report

This is the third global annual sustainability report of Farm Frites. The data presented in the report range from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019. We report on our efforts to achieve and contribute to a sustainable development through the entire value chain, from farm to fork. This current report is based on the sustainability materialities we reviewed and updated during 2019.

To guarantee the relevance of our sustainability reporting and ensure that nothing of importance is overlooked, we apply the guidance of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). We used the latest generation of the framework, GRI Standards, Core level. No external audit of the report has been performed. However, our company is regularly audited by external auditors through our participation in environmental, quality and food safety certification programs.

The scope of the report includes Holding Farm Frites BV and its subsidiaries, as well as Farm Frites International and joint ventures in Egypt and Poland. The business activities of Holding Farm Frites BV as far as the report is concerned, are similar to those in the previous reporting year. Due to operational issues in Autumn and Winter 2019 in a part of the factory of Farm Frites Egypt, the data gathering was disrupted and inconsistent, therefore only data from Farm Frites Egypt until August 2019 has been used in the consolidation of figures presented in this report.

All abbreviations are explained in the Glossary. Furthermore, references to the relevant GRI codes are made throughout the report. The GRI index can be found at the end of the report.
